Hopeless-Romantic (n.) A person who interprets life from a fanciful and loving perspective. One who is said to see the world 'through rose coloured glasses.' Given to imaginings and flights of fancy, they may be prone to following ideals and dreams with little regard for reality. When dissapointed they can become easily depressed, but tend also to see tragedy in an equally romantic light. Fond of fantasy and fairy tales, the romantic has very idealistic beliefs about love, and is more interested in the enchantment of this ideal than physical relations or practical partnerships. Although they have at times, a hopeless disconnection from reality, they also retain a certain wonder and love for life that inspires affection in others. |
